I have installed Open Streetmaps from velomap on my watch.
Generate a route in BaseCamp and transfer it to the watch. When viewing the map on the watch before selecting "Do Course", the route looks perfect with a magenta line indicating the route.
Selecting "Do Course" causes the watch to calculate the route. When done, large parts of the route is now displayed by big blue dots - these appear to be waypoints on twisting paths. They look ugly and partly obscure the track chosen. Distance counter appear to count down between the dots.
Any way to just show the route line ?
