Fenix 5s no longer connects to iphone 6s

On May 23 or 24 my watch (Fenix 5s Sapphire) stopped connecting to my iPhone 6s (ios 11.3.1). I've done everything short of resetting my watch to factory settings (turned off blue tooth (BT) on my phone, removed the watch as discoverable from BT, removed device from Garmin Connect and attempted to add device). I've been syncing through Garmin Connect on my computer ever since and have the latest version of software (8.0).

Is anyone else having the same issues?
If I reset my watch to the manufacture's settings will my personal data be lost or will the watch pick up all my data (training status, VO2 max, etc.) from Garmin Connect?

    My app shows watch is connected but cant sync. Android though.
  • Please power cycle both your fenix and phone. Then remove the fenix from Garmin Connect Mobile and add the device again.

    I have had the same problem for months with my Iphone 7. It connects and disconnects like crazy throughout the day although they are right next to each other. So sometimes I get alerts, sometimes I dont. I´m sorry but I have no idea what "power cycle" means. I am aware that the bluetooth on iphones can be quite fuzzy with other devices. I also struggle with my Audi radio, but never with speakers or bluetooth earphones.
