Unable to install NoFrills watch face on Fenix5

I'm trying to install NoFrills on my Fenix5, and get the "This app requires an update of your fenix 5. Please use Garmin Express to update your fenix 5." I hooked up my fenix5 to garmin express on my PC, updated the FW to 8.0. But I still get the above message both on PC and on Garmin Connect app on Android phone?!
  • After checking in "about" on the watch that the 8.00 FW is actually installed, one thing to try is to power off the watch and back on, then sync with Garmin Express. If that doesn't work, re-pair with your phone. The app store might not know you've installed the new firmware on the watch, and this should take care of that. I get reports of this but usually with new watches, where they are first set up with the firmware from the factory and then get an update to the latest firmware very soon after.
