9.02 Change Log Notes:

Added Physio TrueUp support. Physio TrueUp syncs activities done on other Garmin devices, allowing your device to more accurately reflect your training status and fitness. Activities from other devices will appear in the Activities menu, and they will update your Totals for Running, Cycling, and Swimming. Your Training Status, Training Load, and VO2 Max will be updated using activities from your other devices, and your Recovery Time will be also updated using data from other devices supporting Physio TrueUp. Enable Physio TrueUp in Settings > Physiological Metrics on the device or in Device Settings on Garmin Connect Mobile.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

yes, it is wrong on the fenix 5 and also on the gc website. here are two screenshots: one from yesterday and one from today. man, i do not want to make a hard reset again...

My distance isn’t updating either. All the activities have sync’d fine. Today’s 45k ride comes up as total 0.3k on the watch. GC and GCM fine. Anyone else?

It seems that there are some sync issues. When I trigger the Garmin Express sync, there is a bunch of "Biometric data" and "Activity summary" items which I do not recall seeing before -- they do not seem to sync properly as even after sync finishes, the items remain in the list of updates available.

Edit: in addition, mobile Garmin Connect keeps showing a red exclamation mark in the device screen.

Edit 2: checked sync logs, appears like a HTTP/Server side issue (unexpected response etc.)

Even after factory reset of Fenix 5; still no sync of ride data from an 820. Verified that TrueUP is 'on'. A few other notes:
* After factory reset; was prompted to allow sync of 30days of activities. Selected 'yes', 30days came over but not rides that were recorded only on my 820.
* Sync'd F5 via Garmin Express
* Waited overnight

No activities, no VO2, etc... Any other thoughts on how/if sync from 820 to GC to F5 will even work? FWIW; there is only response above that indicated was using an 820 -- seems that others that are getting mixed results are using 1030's...

However, after following all instructions, the update didn't run on my watch, anybody has any clue how to make it work? Thank you...

Did you put the update file in your Garmin folder and not the route of the device?

It seems that there are some sync issues. Happened to me too. Had to downgrade, remove watch from GCM/Bluetooth, re add watch, and then upgrade. There are still some issues though - distance for example doesn’t sync properly. I’m on a F5 & Edge 1030.

Any plans to add Background HR broadcasting option? Seems strange that this is not available by now.

You can broadcast the hr with ANT+ today, either "dedicated" or during an activity. Doing it in the background 24/7 would likely have a big impact on the battery. Why would you need it?

So let me clarify. I wasn't saying broadcast HR all the time. I have an edge 820 and wanted to be able to broadcast just HR to the unit and also have the ability to use the other watch features (or get notifications) if needed. You can't do that now without closing out broadcasting. I guess the best option now if to disable GPS under the bike activity and run that activity to broadcast, then delete the activity. Since the Edge will post I don't need both recorded.
