Question to Garmin Staff. After this update free space on my F5X dropped from almost 6gb to 1gb. Is it normal? Now there is no place for another maps, that I use. This files are still in my device (D4713060C.img and D6019000A.img) Are they required or just the temps that should be removed after succesful update?
I have deleted D4713060C.img and D6019000A.img and my watch still works fine (maps work, Garmin Express shows that everything is updated). Please note that I did not fully test the maps.
I don't understand it. I have my F5X with only garmin maps preinstalled. I have like 6 gb free, and G.Express said that two updates where available, but they add more than 14.4gb (?)
I have the watch right now connected to the PC, G.Express is downloading the updates, but I'm expecting an error because the watch's size is less than the maps.
I'm not sure they will, I suspect that's the free space Express requires on your PC to install the necessary files prior to compiling the map that it sends to your device.

Because nobody answered. Do I understand that you just connect die 5X to Garmin Express and it shows you an update for the cycle map?
Our records show that you are at the latest version of the maps. If that isn’t the case, please run Express again to download the Cycling Maps and Course Updates to your fenix 5x via the Garmin program Express.
