Intensity Minutes Info

So after two weeks of using the watch I'm starting to like it more each day. Gotten use to not having a touchscreen, although I do find myself pushing more buttons than I probably need because I forget what they do..... but so far, it seems to be giving me some accurate info when compared to steps on my iphone, and heart rate on my BP Monitor.
Sleep stats is still a bit off as it seems to think I'm asleep when I'm sat down watching a movie in an evening.... 10.5 hours sleep? I wish!!! LOL

So, the only thing I don't really like about the watch is the Intensity Minutes Limitation.
By this I mean you have to set a weekly goal.
Steps and Floors Climbed is a daily goal, why aren't the intensity minutes??
Not only that, it gives you a running total for the week, I want to see that days results.

As mentioned in another thread, my first bike ride out showed 260 Vigorous Minutes (x2) and 36 Moderate Minutes. Then each day it just added to those numbers - so I don't know how much was achieved on each subsequent ride. Am I missing something here? Do I need to be delving through any menus on the App to find this?
Any help would be great.

I still don't quite get the HR Zones (from my first post last week), but I have just used the start off with 220 and deduct age method.... I'm sure I'll get there eventually!

Garmin Connect on the phone offers a daily graph view of the intensity minutes by tapping the "Intensity Minutes" on the front screen ...

As far as the weekly aspect of it is concerned, as I recall the sort of accepted figure is try and do 150 a week, so I guess thats why its set as a weekly figure

Plus https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/51/wellness/last_seven_days gives you a graph you can mouse over to see the daily amount

https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/fab35e5d-3670-46a3-b567-54aa0d2711f7 is a 3rd party widget that offers on the watch a graphical view day by day

As does (my personal fave - https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/5e57ee96-3f22-4448-9f54-a3f375c44b10#0 ) which enables you to replace about 3-4 widgets with one multi purpose one

    Thanks AJRykala,
I'll check that out - I didn't realise you could press through.... I haven't worn the watch this week (until today) so once I get some active minutes recorded this week I'll give it a go.
Yes, I left my Goal set at the obligatory 150 minutes for now until I get more active. I reckon I may be able to double that at least with some of the cycling we are doing now.

Thanks for the link to the REPORTS page too... shame it just shows total minutes and not where its moderate, vigourous (and been doubled) etc... but hey guess I can't be too picky.

And thanks for these links too - funnily enough I was looking at your personal fave earlier - may just download both to see which I prefer.

From the pictures on display, it looks like this widget does indeed give a daily reading of V/M intensity minutes

The beauty of the Garmin range is that if it doesn't do what you want in stock form, someone somewhere has normally written an addon for it ;-)

Nice find.... thank you!! I like the look of that one for sure!!

I also wore my watch last night when washing the car to test out the graph when pressing through the intensity minutes - only did 15 minutes, but I can now see what you mean - you get like a bar chart for that day!!
Its purple at the bottom, fading into blue at the top - all very pretty but not sure if the colours represent anything.
I also swiped right to see last weeks - and there it is - each days minutes. Although these ones are all orange.
Its a shame they can't be tapped on to see the breakdown of moderate vs vigourous - so maybe I will have to write to Garmin with my ideas... :)

That display above is on that widget shows Vigourous and Total so you do have to do a little math to get the moderate ;-) You can also long press up on that widget and change the background to black or white. The writing isn't the easiest to read (black on red!) but if my 49 year old eyes can do it in daylight it can;t be too bad ;-)

IIRC Orange means you havent hit your weekly goal with those minutes, and purple means you have..... may be the other way round - cant remember off top of my head ;-)

Yeah - Orange means on that day you hit your weekly goal!

And in keeping with my own advice, on the review of that widget I asked for white on red rather than black on red ;-)

Author has already added my suggestion re text colours!
