Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

8.99 Change Log Notes:
• Added support for communication with a Garmin Xero A1i Bow Sight. The Bow Sight is capable of sending Laser Locate waypoints to the watch. These are accessible from the XERO widget (Settings > Widgets > Add Widgets > XERO) and can be further used to navigate to.
• Added support for communication with a Garmin inReach Mini. (Settings > Widgets > Add Widgets > inReach) The widget acts as a remote and allows one to send preset texts, customized quick texts and trigger a SOS message.
• Added support for selecting alternate locations within the Sunrise and Sunset widget. (Widget > Menu > Location)
• Added support for Garmin Vector 3 power meter software updates.
• Fixed a possible crash that could occur when downloading stored heart rate data from a Garmin HRM-Tri or HRM-Swim.
• Improved the accuracy of the pace/speed target gauge during workouts.
Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.
• Great news! A minor detail, I think the text files corresponds to an older version - they are marked as 2.40 while the text files I have on my device are 2.70. This was an issue with previous beta, too.
• I hit a snag with this update where after I copied the files over, it froze with the Garmin triangle. After 10 mins, I did a soft reset and was able to recover it. The watch says it's on version 8.99, so I'll go with it.

I'm only posting this because it's the first time I've ever encountered this with a beta update. I'm guessing it was just a glitch on my end and not related to this version, but wanted to post just in case.

I had the same issue before I upgraded to 8.99 by factory resetting the Fenix 5s. You see the Garmin triangle and every button you press the backlight pops up and it beeps. After a while and soft resetting the watch came back to live. The same thing happened when I upgraded to 8.99.
I have this resolved bij clearing the one remaining .GCD file (006B162100.GCD datestamp 26-4-2018) in the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder. The only file in this folder is now EPO.BIN.
I hope this helps...

Same here. Long press light button makes me happy again :).

All day stress drops from my average 22 to 9. It is significant change at night and day eather.
