Delayed start activity

I am new to Fenix 5X,
When starting my first activity of the day, I select my activity, press start, it take around two minutes to get the start menu displayed. Multiple press of of the start are executed but display of the result is delayed. The activity type with GPS or not does not matter.
Any idea?

Do you use any data fields in your activity? It may have some issues. Try resetting the watch to its factory state and try again. When you select your activity it waits about a minute to get a GPS signal. Then when you press start it starts to record the activity. The longest delay I've experienced is one or two seconds depending on the data fields in the activity, and probably most of it is due to my gloves...

After a few days I have a better understanding of my problem. Delayed activity startup occurs only with the first activity started after a power-on. For exemple a power on y watch at 7:00, I start an activity at 9:00, the activity timer page is displayed after 2minutes and 30 seconds then I do what I please. Any following activity will show timer page right away. It will work fine until the next power-on sequence. The language is setup in French....

Most people just keep the watch on 24/7 as it goes into sleep mode when not on the wrist, and then recharge the watch as necessary.
