Not displaying full message body

I have recently switched from another fitness tracker to a Fenix 5. With my previous watch, when I received WhatsApp messages, it would display the message body without having to press any buttons first.

With my F5, I am having an issue where my WhatsApp messages indicate the name of the sender and "1 New Message" with a dismiss option below. To view the messages, I have to press a button. This seems to defeat the usefulness of the feature because now I can't glance at the watch to read my messages without pressing any buttons. Also, if my other hand isn't free, I can't view the message until my hand is free to press the button. This is not at all practical or discreet when in company of others.

I have a Samsung Galaxy phone with Android 8.0.

Has anyone found a way to configure WhatsApp message to immediately display the body of the messages when the messages are relayed to the Fenix 5?

I think it has to do with the notification settings on your phone. Some privacy mode or so. Had som issues a while ago but dont remember 100% how i fixed it.

Check over the notification settings for whatsapp and whats showing on your locked screen.

same problem, not related with privacy mode and phone, messages (FLASHSCORE ETC>>> notifications) displayed properly on two other smartwatches... not on garmin...

Exactly the same with me. In the past Flashscore use to show complete result, grub since time now only shows part of the message. Even if I press start to read it, only shows who's playing. In the past use to show it all.
