reply to notifications, sms messenger etc

Hi from Sweden

On my Vivoactive 3 I can reply to a message like messenger with about 40 different options like "Talk later" "sure" etc but on my new fenix 5X I only find a thumbs up as the only option. In the mobile Connect for the vivoactive 3 there are about 40 options (short messeges) to ad to the vivoactive 3 but I dont find that option on the connect mobile for the fenix 5X. That would be easy for Garmin to implement that to the fenix series I think. Are there any app that could do that?

With the new Tactix Charlie that are very similar to Fenix 5X You can reply to text messages. It would be easy for Garmin to implement this for the Fenix 5X, I think.

This functionality does exist on the newer Fenix Plus lines, not sure why it never worked on my old Fenix 5. Maybe I missed a firmware update? Or maybe they never got around to releasing it?

Replying to a Text Message

NOTE: This feature is available only for smartphones with Android.

When you receive a text message notification on your tactix device, you can send a quick reply by selecting from a list of messages. You can customize messages in the Garmin Connect Mobile app.

From the watch face, select UP to view the notifications widget.

Select

, and select a text message notification. SelectDOWN>Reply.
Select a message from the list.

Your phone sends the selected message as an SMS text message.

really is still just for android????? no way for IOS? thanks

Blame Apple for that, in that they don't make SMS available to 3rd party devices.
