Hi,
I've been noticing some discrepancies in the calorie count of my watch, and I was wondering whether this is a real issue, or whether I simply don't understand the computations.
After doing a cardio exercise earlier today (using an external HRM, the Garmin HRM-Tri), my watch is stating a total calorie burn of 628 for the exercise.
I was quite happy with this, but noticed that the "My Day" overview showed a "lower than expected" total calorie burn... Going to the Calories Widget, I find my "Active Calories" are only 485 (and even lower immediately after the workout... some time has passed since the workout and when I took these 2 pictures).
This is not the first time this has happened, hence my post.
Is this normal (i.e. are some of the calories burned during my cardio workout when my HR is low counted as "Resting calories") or is there another issue?
This issue happens most often when, after my workout, the watch syncs with the HRM-Tri and downloads the HRM-Tri heart rate data.
Can anyone explain what's causing this and if there's something I need to do to fix this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1332597.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1332598.jpg
