fenix 5S backlight always slightly on?

My wife has had fenix 5s since Aug 2017. It worked normally until about mid March 2018. Then out of the blue - there appeared exactly same problem that is discussed in here: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/into...ys-slightly-on
I have fenix 5X myself with the same software version as my wife has in her 5S (8.00 (69dc7dd)) without that problem.

Would like to get information is that software problem that will be fixed by some batch soon (when?) or should we send the actual gadget to Garmin to get replacement?

That bug is draining battery...as the screen is glowing all the time...

Hi, I've had the same issue with my Fenix 5s after update to version 8.0. I fixed the problem with an hard reset..

IlBlasco How did you do the hard reset? I tried by selecting from watch menu (Settings - System - Restore Defaults) and unfortunately it did not help? :confused:

Turn the watch off
Turn the watch on whilst holding down both the buttons on the right hand side (2 and 4 o'clock).
on the first beep let go of the upper button (2 o'clock) and second beep let go of the lower button (4 o'clock)

You will then have to go through a set up procedure to choose language etc..

The hard reset did not help in our case. I sent it to Garmin and they sent new device back. It works with the newest software as well. :cool:
