My android mobile update it self to ver 4.5 today and since, there is a sync issue with my 5x. Now the mobile app shows that it has connected with the Fenix 5 and appears to sync but the Fenix 5x shows a status of waiting for phone. Now up to today it has been working perfectly, it has only mucked up after the mobile updated to ver 4.5. Not sure where the problem is, with the mobile or the Fenix 5x.
Again and again, I have problems with the notifications. Last good working version of GCM was 4.1.11. Today I updated to GCM4.5. Notification only calls, nothing more. Even I receive SMS or email (to gmail app) I have it in the widget of F5X, but NO NOTIFICATION (like alarm or vibrate). I checkit in F5x even in GCM, everywhere is setup as alarm and vibr ALL during and not during activity. So I again downgrade GCM 4.5 to GCM 4.1.11. That´s a very pity. :-(
I have back dated to ver 4.4.2, can confirm the above issue does not exit, mobile connected with Fenix and Fenix indicated it is connected. Garmin connect android 4.5 is broken. Well done Gamin you continue to amaze me in how you can stuff things up. :(
I didn't notice....until I had to master reset my watch after trying a new watchface in the IQ store, my alt widget now is faulty as a result, and Garmin is now sending me my FORTH 5x ....
Anyway.....tried to pair and got " failed" everytime after the master reset, I'd never had a pairing issue before. So I cleared cache, restarted phone etc, and had a pairing code, and it worked for me on my Android...but that's as far as I got, as I'm presently without my watch again. I'm happy on version 4.1.11...btw.
