Turn-by-turn notifications not working at all

Hi, since some time, no tracks has turn-by-turn notifications, even the tracks, who previously had (actually all had, except the ones run in the opposite directions). Now I am seeing only kms to finish...

Hi, this is pretty simple:
1. Define a course using http://plotaroute.com/ service
2. Download the course as .fit file
3. Upload the .fit file to your watch X:/Garmin/NEWFILES/ folder (using cable)
4. Navigate course as usual

On May 8 I contacted the Support Team of Garmin Netherlands. In short: I should be patient, it was only a luxury problem, I should understand that with so many improvements in de software sometimes a problem could occur, and finally: there were so many other good features that still worked, that there was no reason to complain at all. Interesting new perspectives on the issue! I’m afraid it will take quite a bit of time to have turn-by-turn directions again...

@Wojtek_B: following your instructions I made a short route (6 km). I get the message "Maximum course points of 50 has been reached. Last 119013374 point will not be shown." According to Plotaroute this course has just over 100 course points. I thought the maximum on the Fenix 5x was a lot higher. [In some other thread Gamin Support says 10,000 points.] Any suggestions?

So, Garmin what the hell are you doing ? Bring back the TBT feature. It is like having a car with a steering wheel that doesnt steer. Unacceptable.

It was always 50 points, even if you created the route on garmin connect (when it was working) you could get the message.

@JimSchouten: I got the same error message with a 48 km course with too many course points. So the last couple of kms was without tbt directions. I noticed afterwards than you can limit the max course points when saving the fit file from plotacourse. It seems to work without errors, but I haven't tried the modified course with 50 course points yet.

I've tried limit course point function in plotaroute a lot of times and it's working great.
Have you seen the new easy way to change your course point direction signs or easy way to find what course point to delete when you have to many?

TBT stil doesn't work! Garmin has been recently disappointing me...

Does anyone have any sensible message from support? Do they work on it?

Never ending story since the release of the F3.
TBT’s worked with the F3 and they still do with the F5 in he same way.
Again: with the keywords "ridewithgps", "mcbadger tool" you'll find a lot of posts regarding course points and turn by turn navigation.

Hi,
created a Route yesterday on Garmin Connect (OSM) and sent it to my 5X. Today i started that Route while running and were verry suprised to see some notifications and the long missed arrows. Using Follow Course, Firmware 8.0 and the latest GCM.
