Does garmin monitor the forums for feature requests? If not, maybe someone can direct me to the correct spot?
I'm running 8.x code on my Fenix 5x and while Map routing with loaded courses seems to have gotten a LOT better with the 8x code (I don't get all the artifacts all over the map route anymore) I'm still having some issues.
I will generally create a route in Map My Run, and then sync it over to the watch via Dynmanic.Watch and their RouteCourse app from garmin connect. I will then go into my Run App on the watch, and select the course to run.
If I have my watch set to 'Follow Course" it will do just that, however I will not get turn-by-turn directions on my watch (not optimal).
If I have my watch set to "Use Map" it will give me turn-by-turn directions, however it will also start to change my course (which are typically loops of some kind) based on the routing logic of "Shortest Distance, Minimum Elevation, or Minimize Time" - again, not optimal.
Can a feature get added to the Use Map's routing logic for 'None' so it will still give Turn-By-Turn direction, yet not adjust my predefined route??
(If there is already a way to do this and I just can't figure it out -- pointing me in the right direction would be great).
