Wheres my beeps in interval training?

I used to get helpful beeps warning me of the transition between intervals when running. I think it was usually 5.... they would count you down till the final beep alerted you to run faster . or take a rest.

Now there is an easily missed single beep with no warning to let you get ready for the transition.

This is really annoying me - why has it happened and is there any way to get it back to the way it was???

My 920xt alsu used to give the 5 beeps. Like you, I find the lack of them annoying. But I don't think it's user configurable, so have just put it on the list of "oh well, wrt this feature I disagree with the lovely Garmin folks".

go to your run settings and see if segment alerts are on?

you should definitely have sound...

Yes segment alerts are on - just checked.

To be clear - it does still alert me at appropriate times.

But for some inexplicable reason it just does a single buzz and beep... the previous behaviour of 5 buzz beeps was far more useful.

Why on earth would they remove this????? Arghhhhh.

Sometimes there is a glitch that disables the sounds although the setting says they are on.

Try the following: go to Settings->Systems->Sound->Warnings and switch to off. Reboot the watch and set the Sounds to "During Activity".

turn the alarms off and exit the menu
then turn the alarms back on - that should do the trick (in my case the setting was on but the alarm was off after the last update 8.0)
