I use my 5X as my primary cycling computer, and I'm delighted with it. Full navigation, and much better battery than the 520. I just came across autoclimb, which seems like it could be useful, however I get no opportunity to edit the data fields. This is made all the worse by the fact that the default fields it comes up with are no different to standard cycling fields, and therefore not particularly useful for climbing, so effectively all it does is invert the colours.
Apparently autoclimb in other activities does give the opportunity to edit data fields, so I suspect this is a glitch, so any Garmin staff out there who could acknowledge this and highlight it for a fix, that would be great thanks!
Overall I feel like the 5X is the fitness watch I've always wanted. My only other gripe would be that the process for HRV measurements is too inconvenient, so I use an app instead. This could be fixed by allowing the 5X to use the camera in a smart watch to measure HRV, apparently it gives much better more accurate data (equivalent to ECG).
