Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.
  • Interaction with notifications seems to be improved. The "discard" option now is the preselected one, which is great. Also it seems that several apps have more options to select from. Thanks Garmin!

    Bye
  • Anyone having issues with backlight not to turn on with gesture set to turn on? Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. On my Fenix 3 it worked like charm, so there must be some other problem than me I guess :)
  • Beta 8.54 and/or sensor hub 6.0 broke indoor cycling. My Garmin speed cadence sensor connects and shows speed/cadence, but no distance accrues after starting activity. Saved activity shows correct cadence in graph but no speed graph and heart rate drops with a steady slope from start to end. Tried regular bike app and same thing happened (no gps of course).

Distance stays at 0.00 ... connect iq data screen does not show distance or average speed, but shows speed and cadence - heart rate is off too.

Reverting back to 8.00 fixes this issue. Kept Sensor hub 6.00 so I know it was 8.54 that broke distance accrual in indoor bike for me. This is a pretty bad BUG for people that use indoor bike and Beta 8.54. I sent 3 emails to Garmin Fenix 5 Beta with details. Hope they can find it and fix it - probably has something to do with setting the wheel size that was updated in this Beta.

Is there a way to revert back a previous version of sensor hub firmware?
  • Garmin SW team are you trying to address the OHR problem during High intensity Training / Activities?
  • Brilliant! Finally we paddlers get a Kayak app just in time for my overnight trip. Thank you beta team!
