Can not unlock maps

Installed a new map on my Garmin Fenix 5x and keep getting error cannot unlock maps on load up.

The map I installed was trakmaps for Newfoundland is there a compatibility issue with some maps, or should all maps work with the 5x?

You'll need to contact the map supplier. Either they're not suitable for your device or you need an unlock code. This has nothing to do with Garmin.
