Fenix 5x Birdseye - Poor resolution

Hi guys,

I have a Fenix 5 and have subscribed to the Garmin Birdseye satellite imagery.

I have downloaded basecamp and not experiencing any connectivity issues - but, the image quality on the watch is so poor its unusable - the image attached is of a residential street. On Basecamp it comes up clearly, on the watch just a series of blotches.

I think I have followed all the guides to do the right thing - is this a glitch or have I some setting wrong somewhere?

I took off the TT map to show the quality (or lack of) in the satellite imagery.

Even zoomed out there is no detail on the Birdseye maps - the videos online show how to do it and their results are quite…

Maximum usable zoom I find is 80ft , I also overlay another map , for example talkytoasters map over it to give more detail and make it more usable

I made me some custom BirdsEye maps and had a similar issue. While they looked perfectly fine in BaseCamp, on the watch they looked blunt and washed out. I had to apply some colour correction to the tiles - a gamma correction of 0.7 and contrast of +50% did the trick. I don't think you can do that with the official BirdsEye imagery, though.
