Map screen disappearing in navigation mode

When I start a "run" activity and then go to Navigation -> Courses, choose a course and then "Do course" - I get the map screen, but if I scroll to another screen I cannot go back to the map. It's just gone. The settings are fine and the "map" data field is on.
This doesn't happen in the "trail run" activity, though. Only in the "run".
Any explanations for this?

I’m having the same issue. When I start a course, my Fenix 5 shows the map screen with the green course correctly. After running about 1k, the performance condition screen shows up and then the map display disappears forever.

Was this problem of map disappearing during a navigation run ever fixed?
i'm still having this problem since several months, and it is very annoying as I'm using this navigation mode only if I dont know the region I' running in. And then suddenly, without any known reason, the map screen disappears....!

For me it’s a part of a wider issue with Fenix 5 firmware stability. This particular problem (and many others) was present in firmwares until 12.0. Then 12.0 was absolutely flawless for me - rock solid, everything just worked. Then from 12.30 the problems reappeared and as of today, the watch is again incredibly unstable and unreliable.

Went for a 10K run today and navigated a course, and the map screen was visible throughout. This is using firmware 12.50.
