all of a sudden i can't find my garmin elliptical app on my x5 i used it yesterday and today it is gone, nowhere to be found. Not even on garmin express
Silly question. Are you scrolling down far enough on the watch to find it? On my watch it is the 24th activity down (2nd from the bottom / add). I'm still pretty new to the watch so not sure if you can reorder/delete/add these.
ABN you gotta be joking, you can't be serious. elliptical is one of the 3 4 apps i'm using all the times and now it is gone, trust me i looked all over for it before posting here. not on watch not on express not even on iq store garmin seemingly just removed it all of a sudden. and before you asking i'm using v8

In your email, will you tell me what phone you have, what GCM version you are using, and whether the skiiing activity was previously selected as a favorite or non-favorite activity? Lighten up killer. It was a simple.. and stated 'possibly silly question'. I don't know your experience with the watch... you have a whopping 6 posts which could mean you are relatively new to the watch... as I am. It could also mean you are very experienced with the watch and only relatively new to the forum. I offered a possibility in hopes of helping as the 1st time I looked for it I thought it would have been closer to the top.
However... as you later stated. it looks as though some people are losing random apps. I am also on 8 and haven't noticed anything missing (Probably just jinxed the heck out of myself)
Disappearing apps is reported enough on the forum for it definitely to be a thing (it's happenned to me once with 10 months of usage). However, I'm not aware of anyone being able to replicate this behavior, which makes it extremely hard to track down the cause and fix it.
There are 2 potential solutions to restore your app: * reload the relevant .FIT file (either from a backup of your watch software, or from someone supplying you the relevant file) * Doing a hard reset (faster and easier, but also means you lose your existing settings and data)
Are you all aware of the much better,\much more accurate elliptical app by fbbrown? I have been using it for a month and it is awesome. Much better than stock, especially once i adjust the stride setting to match the machine i use at the gym. https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/1...e-12beee6adc17 forgot to add that yes, I did pay all of 3$ for ALL 13 of his apps. could have just paid .99 for elliptical but $3 is well worth it.
