Fénix 5 is perfect counting lengths when swimming backstroke, it never fails, but when swimming crawl it never gets right, it always miss 15% of total lengths. Could you help me how to avoid this issue? Thanks.
I will constantly get 1 - 3 extra laps swimming front crawl, I usually just attribute it to bad form. My wife has the 5s and her laps are always spot on.
I had this same problem wearing the watch on my normal, right wrist. I switched to my left wrist and it counts perfectly every time. It's my form, not the watch. I don't do a flip turn, the way I turn, there is a huge acceleration with the left hand but the right is almost stationary. So now I move the watch to the left wrist when I swim, otherwise I wear it on the right. Give it a shot.
Thanks. I´ll try to make a huge acceleration with the hand where I always wear the watch, the left. The problem is that it suits when I start the length breathing to that side but not in the next length when I change the breathing side. Thanks anyway. There should be some kind of standard movement the watch recognises as a new length.
