Floor Climb app not counting floors after 8.00 update

I recently updated Fenix 5 software to 8.00 and since then "Floor Climb" app isn't counting floors anymore: floors are counted correctly in daily summary, but remain stuck to 0 when tracking floors climbed in "Floor Climb" app (and therefore they're not saved in the related activity log too).

I tried a full reset, and I even tried to downgrade to version 7.60, but there's no way to make it work again.
Any help please?

It was a bug that people reported with the beta for this version yet the software was still released.

I have the same issue - 0 floors climbed since the 8.00 update though i climb roughly 20 floors a day!! Come-on Garmin - fix please. Where do we log the problems other than the forum? I have had contact with the Dutch support once but all they say is sorry that we are busier than usual... There seems to be a conscious effort on Garmin's side to keep people away from support... I.e. i have the ANT bug as well in my Fenix 5

Same here, stuck on zero. I think it actually worked for a while after the 8.00 update, but not anymore. Still, I've had the watch for almost a year now and never had any problems before, so most likely it is the 8.00 update that is the problem.

Also, step counting seems ok and the altimeter works fine during activities, so it shouldn't be a sensor problem.

Same problem for me after 8.0 install but a restart of the watch fixed the problem, floor counting is ok now.

I’ve got the opposite problem. I get floor like crazy now. Yesterday 24 when in fact I think I climbed about 4 floors.

Finally after few days, floor climb count stopped working. There is clearly a bug in 8.00FW,
I never had problems with floor climb in previous firmwares...

Did you try to re-calibrate the altimeter using the GPS after the update to FW 8.00 ?
