Software Version 8.00

Is the backlight problem with gestures resolved with this update? It is not written in the release notes.
I still donot have the new update.

Is there anything I need to do after the update is done?

I v upgreaded to 8.0 . Had issue abt bro,alti,step etc sensors. Nothing changed. Already calibrated several times bu in 2 min. ? go underwater :/

FYI
Be carefully below my check list:

• have you turned on Automatically Detecting Performance http://static.garmin.com/pumac/fenix5S_OM_EN.pdf - page 8. ( to resolve issue with LTHR)
  
• is you HR Zone actually base around your LT threshold ? ( issue with hrm zone
  
• check in garmin connect both mobile and web if you have only ONE watch ! ( issue you can't connect with mobilephone)
  
• put on the window and put start running and do not move for 20-30 minutes to calibrate ( without takes long time to fix gps)
  
• calibrate timing watch -synchronize time ( wrong time)
  
• calibrate altimeter (not count floors)
  

This is my experience today when I did hard reset and reinstall via webupdate to have clean

After updating to 8.00 overnight, I went for a run this morning. On checking the performance widget afterwards, I discovered that my LTHR had changed from 171 (manually entered) to 41 (manually entered).

Garmin-Joey - Any update on when this "incorrect import of Garmin Connect settings" bug might be addressed?

Floor counting seems to have stopped with this update. This is not definitive because on some days it doesn't work well and others it does. Today it isn't counting floors at all on my 5x and I do 20 floors. Anyone else?

floors counting for me fine after calibration .
Regarding LTHR i suggest don't worry check after 7 days and during this time do some internals but the hard interwal do after 7 days.
LTHR don't works correctly till 7 days - this is my experience with beta 7,91- 7,93 version, because after update there is info manual entry , because download from garmina account not detected and this is logical , so wait 7 days.
I am only not happy with my very low hrm zone ;-( Z2- 119-129 it should be 133-149 around

No problems with floors count,up down all ok after update, no issues.
LTHR manual entry problem? as mentioned above.
would be nice to have info regarding this, mine changed overnight from 156 manual entry to 126 manual entry.

8.0 update fixed my Fenix 5 problem with altimeter and barometer (for this moment).

Same floor issue here. Fenix 5X updated overnight and I noticed when I got to work that it missed at least 3 flights up and down. Just power cycled the device to see if that makes any difference.
