hi just wondering if anyone can shed light? Watch has estimated LT HR and pace and I’ve done guided test, both came out the same and the same as my previous estimate based on a course and test I did with a coach. However, I can’t understand the estimated pace.
When I ran the test etc my LTHR is 183, all good. The pace I ran at during that interval to hit 183 averaged 7:50/mile which is what I expected. Also tallies with VO2 max estimate and race predictor etc.
However, the pace the watch has given and in the app is 9:07/mile. I’m nowhere near LTHR at that pace so why is this?
Im confused and was then a bit demotivated after what initially felt like a great run. Did it today as have a 10 mile race Sunday which is the perfect opportunity to test out my current fitness and the effectiveness of my marathon training plan (using Garmin advanced marathon HR plan). Was hoping to use LT pace estimate to help pace the race.
