Any joy with after sunset settings?

You might try a master reset, and see if that sorts out the problem.
Also its a good idea to let Garmin know by giving them a ring or an email if your still having the issue.. .

I'll check the after sunset settings, never heard of it. But I noticed it on a movie theater. Before, I wasn't able to see the screen without pressing the light key. Now, I have to cover the watch to avoid being disturbed by it.

After sunset is in the system backlight menu, see if Gesture,is off, or press Gesture for more options.

I also have a screen problem related to static electricity in a Fenix 5x
On my watch, the backlight is always on (less than 1%). I have tried to solve the problem with a hard reset, but it is always a little on. It is really very little, but when I remove a jacket with static electricity (with synthetic fabrics) the light increases considerably. Of course, my screen is defective, but it is clearly affected by static electricity. My watch is an RMA and the cause was the problem with the loading cable. Now I have a watch with a screen always illuminated, sometimes more and sometiems less (depending on the static electricity arround the watch)

Resetting solved it. I did contact the support, waiting for the response.

Spoke too soon. I should have waited until I was in complete darkness to double check. It was still on after the reset, but after the first alarm went off, the screen went off. I wonder how much of spaghetti code is in those Garmin devices

Garmin Iberia has contacted me. They want me to do a hard reset and reinstall the software using the web updater. The full reset (using the button combination) did not work. I will try to reinstall the software, but the problem was in v7.00, in v7.10 and in v7.60

Reinstalling the software with web updater does not solve the problem. The screen continues constantly with the backlight on
