I just received my Fenix 5 Sapphire today. I love it! I previously owned a Forerunner 935. Right when I removed the watch from the box I placed a silicone bezel protector on it. I highly recommend it. I attached a photo. What do you think? :)
Personally, I think it ruins the design of the watch. It might be useful though for some activities, as you've pointed out, but, for everyday usage, it makes no sense.
I hear you.. At my job (non-profit Social service program) I like the fact that it disguises it's expensive appearance (besides the fact that it completely protects the bezel). :)
