Momentarily pausing a scrolling data screen without pausing the run activity? How?

Okay I'm out running and got the screens slowly scrolling through with all the data fields, map, HR etc. Is it possible to pause on one of the scrolling screens for a minute or so (ie. map) without pausing the run activity?
