Since the update to v 7.60 my auto light on functionality on Fenix 5 stopped working. No activation on gesture, tried with always on, after sunset, switching GPS on off, switching Do not disturb on off - still no change. On 7.10 it was working correctly. Is that a bug or a feature of v7.60? Any solutions for that or only to press light button every time manually? :/
I have a similar issue with version 7.6. When pressing buttons, e.g. when changing from watch-face to a certain widget, the watch stays dark. May settings are Backlight=>not during activity => Keys: on. Don't know about gestures since I've always had that switched off.
I had no problems with backlight before. Now I have to manually switch it on.
Hard reset didn't help, backlight still off when pressing any button (except the "backlight on" - that still works). I also tried to change the setting to "off" and "on" again with no success.
So my today finding are strange. I did two resets - first load default - no changes. Second hard reset via buttons. Once reseted via buttons - hard reset and set up the Fenix5 backlight, gesture and key light was working absolutely fine!! once I connect watches to iOS application and sync, all light options stopped working :( it seems that it is not v7.60 issue, but iOS app issue. Strange

I had a similar experience. After several reset attempts - even formatting the device - my backlight problem still wasn't solved. However, when I skipped the "connect to phone" step after factory reset backlight works as intended. This is with connect IQ on Android 7.0 I think I'll stick with WIFI sync for a while if it's really a problem caused by the app.
