Update V7.60 Bike app problem constant "Wheel Diameter Updated"

Went for a bike ride this morning with updated F5X. Noticed the screen flashing to black with a message saying "Wheel Diameter Updated" or something equivalent, I have the old style speed/cadence device with magnets btw.

I have seen this before in the past but only once during a ride.

This time however it was every 30 seconds or so. Irritating after a while. I have now done a soft reset and will report back if the problem is not fixed on my next ride.

Same problem here, this began (for me) in 7.56 and continues in 7.60, unfortunately the fix registered as part of the release notes did not seem to resolve the issue.

Hi garylovesbeer and scotkight

Could you both restore defaults in the Bike app and let me know if that resolves the issue? Press the start button, scroll to the Bike app and press and hold the menu button. Open Bike Settings, and scroll to the bottom to "restore defaults."

I have the Garmin Speed and Cadence sensors out for delivery today. Was going to pair them and try them tonight!

odsweng I have the old style ANT speed/cadence sensor with the magnets on the spokes and the crank. I have a ANT Garmin HRM-RUN. I have a Tempe.

Managed to get out for a ride with the new Garmin Cadence and Speed sensors. Didn't see the issue reported with those. I had set my wheel size (As best as I could) - perhaps having it set to Auto causes the message to appear?

I found it under settings, sensors, speed, wheel size. Finding the size for a 29 2.3 tire with 35lbs of pressure was another story. :-)

Is there any update on this - I am on version 8.0.0 and had this same issue on my first bike ride after a long break.

I have the old magnet speed and cadence sensor too - highly annoying during your ride for this to be happening.
