Map exchange on Fenix5x

Hi,

I want to properly change my default map on the Fenix 5x from US (TopoActive and Cylce map) to Europe and want to make sure that I use the altitude (DEM) functionality of the garmin maps.
Of course I've saved all files already. However, I'm not sure which files I need to keep and which ones I can delete. I read it is important to keep gmapbmap.img, gmaptez.img. Can I delete the gmapprom (I suppose that is the US Topo map) and exchange it with the img from europe? Do I need to rename the gmapsup.img to gmapprom in order to accept this one as default layer/map in the Fenix5x?

Be careful... I can't help with anything 'exchange' but here is how my Fenix 5X (bought in Sweden) is loaded with the official stuff - I only have the basemap toggled in the watch; then use OSM-maps for my running needs:
