As per attached screen shot I've been getting this error through the last few versions of Garmin Express and the 5x softwar updates. In another forum someone said this was resolved and hasn't gone into detail about how or what to do. I recently called garmin support in Australia and they said it wasn't resolved and was a know issue. If any of you have managed to get it fixed, or know it to be still an issue please let me know. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1297677.png
Further info, tried it on PCs and MACS (several) at different locations with different networks with firewalls on and off and fingers crossed and uncrossed and reset and restarted and reinstalled everything - you may sense some frustration here - and emailed and spoken to Garmin "support".
Make certain your version of Express is current; I've had this happen multiple times and every time I've looked Express has required an update. Once that was done it was able to successfully transfer the maps. The usual symptom I get is that it just hangs forever in "Syncing".
Thanks, I make certain it is current every time I use it. I call it clutching at straws. I am starting to think because I expect it to fail it fails ...
If it's a 'known issue' go back to Product Support and ask for advice there.
I’ve done that and they said the was nothing the could do. I am posting here because it is not unheard of for different support people to give different answers.
So apaart from going back to support, which I will do next week, does anyone here have any experience of this being resolved, please?
I have the exact same issue with the update for AustNZ cycling maps. I have tried everything. I used several different computers, uninstalled/reinstalled express and it will not work. So you're not alone. Next I'm going to try new cable and also delete (save a copy first) the maps on the watch and see any if those help. Besides that I'm not sure if there's much I can do.
