5X GC sync problem

Hi,
I've been using the 5X for more than 6 months without any problems. Few days ago I've been having issues with syncing it with GC. When you enter the application you see the device as connected but it does not sync - meaning - typically I would get the "white circle" filling up as it is sync. Now if I press the sync - it waits, but shortly after it stops and no new data is uploaded and updated. To get the garmin to sync I need to turn it off and then back on and now it will sync.
I'd like to add that I also don't get message alerts etc, at this stage. So it looks like the 5X is not properly connected to the phone despite the fact that it tells me it is connected.
My phone is android based LG, and I did not change anything in the phone nor the 5X....
Any ideas?

There was a major update to GC in last few days, maybe you got automatically updated. For one thing, there are changes affecting notifications. There seem to be a number of reports of negative behavior change with the update, maybe they will have another update out soon to smooth things out...

Thanks. That's might be it. I did notice that was getting notifications that I did not get before...
By the way - I deleted the device and re-install it back into GC but that did not solve the problem.... I sure hope garmin will resolve it in the upcoming version of GC

Is it possible to revert GC to the previous version?

I had the same problems with GC. I dit get a new watch and the problem is solved.
