Notifications issues with iphone 8

After replacing my iphone 6 with an iphone 8,notifications to the Fenix 5 is disabled during sleeping hours. I have enabled do not disturb during sleep hours, but then next morning no notifications work.

I have checked that there is still a bluetooth connection with the iphone, and by turning bluetooth off and back on on the iphone, notifications is re-enabled.

Clues anyone?

I have the exact same issue, for a while now, but with an iPhone 7.
Rebooting the phone every morning. Not ideal, to say the least... Answers, Garmin?

This is driving me totally nuts. Notifications don't come through on my watch even if I switch bluetooth off in my iPhone8+ settings and switch it back on. Notifications don't come through on my watch even if I reboot my iPhone8+. I only get ph notifications, that too sometimes. I get zero notifications on my Fenix5. This is my 2nd Fenix5 (returned the 1st one for the same reasons) and this issue is still not resolved. Driving me totally nuts.

Working fine for me (I 7+) BUT I am using the beta firmware whose link is stickied above .. worth a try?

I live in Australia. So I don't think I'm eligible for 8.54 ("not suitable for APAC Region Devices").
