Are the Runscribe PRO (V2) pods compatible with Fenix 5? Anyone have them? There are dropouts in signal while they are connected? Do they show instant pace and distance on the watch? How accurate are they?
It looks like you're not realy interrested in getting informations from runscribe website and community by yourself... But i'm shure you're lucky and get your answeres here, too... ;)
I'm using the runscribe pro v3 - they are working properly with my F5... The v2's should work also with a F5 - why not?
The only thing is eventually some dropouts - for this behavior the runscribe team have designed (lol) a "Connect IQ Booster Kit" wich is just only a alluminium tape attached to the side of the pods, but it seems to be some differences in dropout results in relation to the thickness of the tape... More about this you will see here: http://community.runscribe.com/t/connect-iq-booster-kit/839
No, the runscribe's doesn't show information like pace or distance on your watch - this is not the concept of them. They are designed to show you information about breaking and impact forces, pronation, flight ratio, ground contact time, power meter, and wich footstrike type you are... Pace and distance will be calculated and will be shown to you in your runscribe web dashboard or phone app, but it will be gethered from your watch.
The v3 for me seems to be accurate - but i can imagine they will be some people who say "oh, they are off by 0.8 or 1 or 2%"... but i think it its not important if they are a little bit off or not - the only interesting part is to compare different runs from you when used them...

Actually it does, with the latest beta FW the pods V3 and V2 have enabled BT protocol for the watches to see them as regular footpods, and in the future ANT+ will be anbled as well. But you are right, more info and updates on Runscribe community...
Cool...where you got the latest beta fw? You said with the last beta fw they act as a regular foodpod - but they only record the data and doesn't show them on the watch itself (in the runscribe plus datafield there are no fields for this)?
Supposedly the next *HUGE* update for the V3 is Is going to arrive today. They completely reworked the sensor data (took over a month) to make it a lot more accurate and make future calibrations unneeded. Footpod activity should also be majorly improved. Just don't know if it's going to be live for everybody right away or beta for a couple of days :)
