I have had fenix 5 for a week now. I like it a lot. There is lots of functionalities for most of the type of sports and training, there even a lot of sports which I have never heard of.
I train muay thai ( thai boxing ) and I use hrm-tri to measure heart rate because it’s not wise to use watch while training muay thai. But I have had challenges on results, although I have been training hard Fenix does not seen to calculate it as hard training. I use ”other sport” without GPS.
What should I do to have real results ? Of course it would be perfect if Garmin could add combat sports also to sport list. Like their competitors have !!! Suunto / Polar etc.
On other training, cycling and running it works of course perfectly but it would be great to have also muay thai counted realisticly to have real training effects. That was my main reason to buy this device.
