Fenix 5X restarts while processing the HR data from HR-Tri

Hi,
On History screen I went to today's activity, downloaded HR data. Everything was OK. Then I went to yesterday's activity and tried to do the same but Fenix 5X restarted while processing data from HR-Tri. Tried it again and again and 5X kept restarting.

SW 7.10 (eb822b2)

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

  • Same (Random) issue.

    Now is this going to be the same kind of fix as the compass fix you have released several times but HAS YET TO ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM?

    Because you know fixes like that aren't fixes, their incompetence and time wasters for those of us who have spent $700 on a device and $200 more on accessories expecting all of this to work out of the box as ADVERTISED. It's 9 months later and all Ant+ accessories also keep disconnecting. On top of a load of other bugs. I'd say keep up the good work but this isn't good work, this isn't ok work, this isn't even unacceptable work... it's pure stupidity & false advertising.

    Email sent. But today | found out that it crashes all the time I try to downloaded the data. Hope you fix that in the upcoming update.
  • orechovnicek I have been having this issue, restart when trying to download historical data from a HRM with memory and have logged it with the Beta team. I have sent them logs and other files but have heard nothing since before Christmas. Are you using a multisport activity? That's when my problem occurs and specifically when changing HRM from the HRM-Run to the HRM-Swim.

    I'm pretty sure the above rant was unhelpful and added nothing to this thread. Perhaps if you are experiencing the issue, it's not random by the way, you can provide some detail but I suspect you are not and the only thing you wanted to do was to rave at Garmin.

    Mate, life is too short to be hating so much, perhaps you should try a difference sports watch and know peace?

  • I have spend hours on the phone with tech support; at least 8 total over 5-6 phone calls. I have spent hours writing emails. I have taken videos, screen shots, I have sent them logs, I have provided them with information.

    I bought the device do I have to fix it too? Are they going to pay me? Are they going to give me the device for free because it wasn't free when I BOUGHT IT. Why should we have to buy these devices if we are the ones who have to waste our time fixing them?
  • 3 months later and I still experience the bug. I've sent the bug report. I'd love to help (logs etc.), just tell me how in PM.
  • Same issue here. Doesn't bother me that much, i can use the data, but this is deffinetly a bug.
