Workout limit on f5x?

I expect its held back by the common code base used for the 5 series devices (inc the 935). Would be an easy code fix though.

I believe it has more to do with runtime memory, not disk storage. These devices are starving and fighting for the resources... Btw, the limits mentioned in the Device.fit has at least 1 error: "Metrics",,max_count,"1",, Not so... there can be many, many files there. But Workouts should be correct. What I remember from the FR620 and FR630 is that the number includes both the scheduled files and single ones placed by 'hand' so to speak.

It's because they cheeped out on the ram and the watch can't load anymore resources. The workouts are saved as a database which has to load up on the watch. Why do you think you have to stop an activity before opening a different "activity". For example, if I am hiking and decide while I'm on a hike (recording the hike in the hike activity) I want to load up a IQ Star Map "activity" ("activity" is Garmin lingo for "App") I have to pause or stop the hike activity before starting the star map. Why? The Fenix can't multitask apps. Why? Garmin (as usual) cut costs to make more profit by starving this device on ram, processing power, etc. Its $50 worth of outdated old garbage parts being recycled and sold for $700. The parts may be new, but it's like an Xbox/PS4: They use 5+ year old cheep garbage graphic cards; hence why PC's blow them away in graphic. The Fenix 5x was supposed to be the PC of heath trackers; far more expensive than competing products but supposedly better made with better parts. Not the case; it's inferior technology being sold at a premium markup.

Secondly it's because these people sell something like 50 different watches that all use the SAME firmware. So when Garmin breaks something on one device it does it on all of them, when Garmin fixes something on one device it breaks another, and when Garmin uses different hardware in a new device the firmware for both new and old devices becomes bloated with code for hardware that may not even be in your device as again the firmware was written for many different devices with different hardware. It's a smart way to handle software, to release an EXCESSIVE, UNNECESSARY, AND REDUNDANT number of different devices all using the same firmware, and most of the same features. This is the incompetence of Garmins leadership at the executive level; remember it's Garmin executives that said "no one will ever use maps on smartphones". Lol.

This is a massive bug bear on the 5 Plus I own. It only holds 10 custom workouts in the strength app. Would the 6 solar be the same if you wouldn't mind having a look please?
