No vibration on notifications

I can't get the vibration or tone alarm working on incoming notifications. I can see the notifications in the widget, but do not get any alarm (optical, haptic or tone). I trued all kind of different settings programmed by either watch or garmin connect - no luck.

I am using the fenix 5 with an iPhone running iOS 11.2. My old Polar A360 did vibrate when notifications came in - I assume it is not an iPhone issue... I am using SW 7.10 on the fenix 5.

Any idea what to try?

On the watch - Settings> Phone> Smart Notifications> During Activity> Show All. You will also have to set the kind of alert you want - tones v sound v both. Then repeat for Not During Activity.

You may also want to check the settings on your phone (can't help you there, as I'm on Android and iOS handles notifications slightly differently).

Well, this was all done before :-(. I also tried it from the connect app as well as on the watch itself. I rebooted the watch and my iPhpone - still not luck. What may I miss? BTW, I also set the sounds and vibrations to "on" under the system settings. I am getting vibrations for connection alerts with my phone for example...

Thanks anyways. Maybe someone else has yet another hot idea...

My vibration is not working either. It only works when it’s tone+vibration. Have you been able to find a solution?

Settings -> System -> Sounds -> Vibration -> Turn on

hi, did you check on GARMIN connect

Settings - Smart Notifications - ALL or the ones you want selected to ON

The solution that worked for me was to go to widgets, delete the notification widget and reinstall the notification widget.
