Upgrade firmware or not; 5S

Hello!

I just bought a Fenix 5S.
The firmware version is 4.10 (9adafd0).
Since I have been reading this forum for quite a bit, I have a decision to make -
should I just test this factory firmware for a month or so or upgrade to the latest available stable version instead?
Altimeter and barometer are working just fine (since these are the most commonly discussed issues here, as it seems). And I would not care much for them if they were off, to be honest.

I aim at hiking, trail running (not much elevation above sea level where I live; hence, the comment above regarding the altimeter/barometer issues).

What would the experienced users here suggest? Would I be missing out on something useful for hiking and trail running without an update?

As for the watch in general, just as I had thought, the 5S fits perfectly for me, also the weight is very nice.

Sorry if this is not the most appropriate forum section for posting this, but I would really appreciate some advice.

    Hmm, thanks for your input.
    Remembered one odd thing though.
I was using one of the default watch faces with some custimization to the data fields.
And one of the data fields I assigned was for the wrist HR.
However, it always showed zero value...
Then, I downloaded a watch face via the Connect app on my LG G6 and it includes displaying HR data and it works just fine (update interval is, like what, 2 minutes or something).
    How come?
  • It depends on the CIQ watchfaces. Some only display the newest sample fro the HR history, which is every 90 seconds or so, and the WF itself only updates every minute most times. Others check for a newer ready then in history history and update parts of the screen every second.

Try my Simple Heart. Seconds all the time and HR updates as soon as it changes! You do want to have never FW for this (in "about" on the watch, make sure it's got CIQ 2.3.1 or greater)
