cannot configure watch faces

Bought myself a 5x today after owning the Fenix 3 for a long time.
Overall happy with it. It came out of the box with a 4.x SW and updated pretty easy to the 7.10

What I cannot figure out is why i cannot configure new watch faces i download from the CIQ store.
I am able to configure the standard ones that are already on the watch (the menu option 'adjust' is there) but not the new ones downloaded.
The only option is to 'apply'.
Seems pretty strange that they cannot be configured?
Anyone else have that problem?
Is there a workaround for this?

Hi,
You can only configure the watch faces you download from the IQ store through GCM or Express.
the built in watch face menu is the way to configure the standard built in watch faces only,or apply any watchface installed.

With watch faces you down load from the store, they are not configured on he watch itself, but on your phone or with Garmin Express.

Forum was upgraded and since then old links unfortunately do not work.

If you wanted to answer original question how to configure Connect IQ watch faces, you need to go to phone connect app, menu Garmin devices, you click device, and there Activities and App management - click Watch faces. When you click the watchface you want to configure, there are settings which you can play with.

Settings are different for each watchface, depending what developer incorporated.
