I use various wall adapters. Some may take longer to charge the watch than others, but that's about it. When I travel, I just use the same one I use for my phone.

The charge current is so low that I have not observed any difference in charge time with different adaptors or computer USB ports. The charge current is only around 0.25A.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1289225.jpg
Does anybody know if it is ok to use the Fenix 3 HR wall adapter to charge the Fenix 5x ?
Yes, it will work fine. All USB chargers provide the same 5V (some can run higher, but only if the device being charged is compatible, like some cell phones). The current rating listed for a charger is the maximum capacity. The device being charged will determine how much it draws. You could also use a USB port on a PC to charge it.
I agree with most of the above. While the maximum USB charging rate depends on the charger, the ACTUAL charging rate is set by the software on the device.
The battery in the F5 is pretty small (300 mAh I think), and it charges at about 12% in 15 minutes, so the current is quite low - probably around 0.2A. Even a low capacity USB charger (0.5A) is capable of supplying more current than the F5 actually draws. Switching to a higher capacity charger will make no difference to the speed of charging.
Basically any charger that supplies within the USB spec will do.
