Recently received a Fenix 5. Band buckle is causing discomfort. I tried some other bands but I have yet to find something that doesn't dig into my wrist. Hoping someone here has had similar issues that have been fixed in some way. I can go for a day or two before I get real redness near the buckle. Tried finding other third party bands but can't exactly tell from most of those pictures if the buckle is different in any way. Help?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but are you sure you aren't wearing the watch to tight?
I've had the same problem with the original Fenix 5 band and also searched for a 3rd party band. I've found this one to allow for more "give" in stretch which means the metal parts don't dig into my wrist as much. It also doesn't push down on the Fenix 5 which leaves a nice "tattoo" of the charger port. :-D
A little needle file does the trick. Smooth off the edges of the buckle :) Have been discussed in a couple pf threads. Did work for me. But i most often wear a zuludiver regular band. Without quickrelease and so.
I raised this with Garmin as the original strap buckle would dig in too much so I had to keep adjusting and removing it quite a few times a day. They offered a replacement so I went with a silver buckle catcher type which doesn't dig in and is so much better.
Also tried a cheap one from ebay with silver buckle catcher not thicker black type and again was much comfier
