No training status

Hey,

After auto-update my Fenix 5X has lost its trainingstatus. I’ve ridden 320 km this past weekend, with heartrate-band, but it still says no trainingstatus. I can’t believe I have to go run to get some trainingstatus. Yes, before the auto-update I did some running, but I would expect that a 600€ watch/device would detect a bikeride as a form of exercise.

Anybody some thoughts about this issue?

kind regards Tofke24
  • The training status requires a recent VO2Max figure. This comes from either a run outside (where GPS pace and elevation changes are compared with your heart rate), or a ride with a power meter.

It only needs an outside run/PM ride every couple of weeks to keep a VO2Max figure. As long as it has this, it will then be able to generate a training status for other activities.
  • Hi,

This might be a little bit out but ..
What happens to me is that the date showed at header of training status page at GMC is always outdated as well the training load chart.
but the status training chart bar shows a correct date...

    Thank you,

I have trained as described by mcalista: In the 8 days I did 2 indoor bike rides using my Fenix 5, linked to the bike's power and speed/cadence (just using the HR sensor in the watch), and 1 outdoor run with the chest strap. My training status has gone from "Maintaining" to "No status". The level of training is similar to normal, i.e. I do sometimes go more than 7 days without a run using the chest strap, but never has the status reverted to "No Status". The VO2 Max shows has having been updated by both the run and the 2 bike rides.

Any ideas? I don't want to do a reset if it means losing my data.
