Can't download watch faces, tells me to update

I just got the Fenix 5s for Christmas, charged it up and it won't let me download any watch faces and tells me that I need to update it via Garmin Express. I installed Garmin Express, plugged in the watch, and told me that I was already up to date. Is there a fix for this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1288083.png

What version of firmware is on the watch? (settings>about on the watch). If you just got the watch, chances are you need and got a firmware update.

After it installed, the app store needs to know it was installed, and this might mean syncing with Garmin Express or re-pairing with your phone.

Currently on 7.10, is there anything newer?

7.10 shows on the watch in "about"? If so, try syncing with Garmin Express or re-paring with your phone.

Yes, I've tried Garmin Express a few times and I get the same results. It says that the watch is up to date.

Mine won’t download... software updated. IQ deleted reinstalled. Powered on/off. Bluetooth forget/paired again. Still telling me Fenix Software update is needed. ??!??!

So.... simple answer... you need to connect devices to PC via Garmin Express to update software. Drivers etc are not installed new. Ant+ etc. probably a region thing... cheers.
