I've searched for how to resolve this but I can't find anything on this so I'm hoping someone knows how to fix this. When I start an activity and put it on a 3 data field screen it shows all three data fields for about 2-3 seconds then the top field switches to show "GPS" along wit the battery level, phone and heart rate. A couple of those are blinking so I assume it's to show me an alert. Is there a way to turn off that alert and just show the data that's it's supposed to?
That is the initial screen that shows you the status of the various sensors (eg. heart rate, has the watch acquired a GPS signal yet, etc).
From there you can access the settings by pressing and holding the middle button (to access navigation, data screens, structured workouts, etc). Or you can press the start/stop button to actually commence the activity - at which point it should revert to your 3 field display.
Thanks to both people who responded. The activity I created was really more of a collection of screens I'd like to see while I'm doing Search and Rescue. It's not really an activity per-se so it didn't occur to me to try doing the "start". On an actual search that would be good to do anyway since it'll record my tracks. It was during the setup that I never bothered to do the start.
