The same thing happens to me and others as well. When we properly eject the watch, then unplug the watch from an apple computer the watch freezes.. When I DO NOT eject, i.e. just unplug the watch, I don't need to do a reset.
This issue is only a problem on apple computers, it never happens when using Windows 7 or 10.

- What version number is your Mac's operating system? Please be as specific as possible. - Was Express running at the time? (Depending on your settings in Express, it may be running even if you close the window. If you open the settings for Express, look under "General" to see if it will be running in the background.) - What screen displays on the Fenix while it appears frozen? (For example: the charge percentage, "Loading Maps," Garmin logo, etc.) - If the watch appears frozen and you leave it for 5 minutes, will it resolve itself?
I just e-mailed Mel a fairly long winded response to this, but I discovered that if the watch freezes upon eject, if start randomly pressing buttons on the watch, it'll wake it right up. I waited up to 12 minutes and it was still stuck, as soon as I start pressing buttons randomly, it wakes right up. Wait 12 minutes or don't wait at all, it does not matter, random button presses wakes mine up.
with the software version 7.00 same problem. with version 6.00 and 6.83 I do not remember blocks
If I connect the fenix to a windows PC after ejection, the screen that appears in the fenix is ??that of the recharge. if I connect to a macbook, after the device is ejected the fenix hangs in the clock screen. sometimes it stops before disconnecting the charging cable a few times immediately after being ejected from the macbook. if I press the keys randomly, it will reactivate
I have done a vidio, but I can not share it. I saved the vidio on youtube www.youtube.com/watch
