RunSwim Activity with HRM Run and HRM Swim

Maybe someone is doing this and can help me out here. On a Sunday I do a run and then a swim and have setup the three activities, The RunSwim activity, the Run activity and the Pool Swim activity and it all seems to work OK except I also wear a HRM Run while running and a HRM Swim while swimming. For some reason the Pool Swim activity cannot download the HR data from the HRM Swim. The error is that it cannot find the device. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it possible to download the data manually and match it up after?
  • why are you using both devices ?? it should be enough just to use the Swim HRM it can do both swim and run
or get a HRM TRI instead

OK so I am using both devices because the Swim is not comfortable for running and the Run dosen't work in the pool. Also, the Tri is not recommended for use in a Chlorinated pool. This combination should work and I shouldn't need to buy another HRM.

Yes. You can probably still do it now if you haven't used the HRM-Swim too much since Saturday. Put on the HRM-Swim. Go into History > Activities and select the activity in question. Scroll down past Details, Intervals, etc until you get to Download Heart Rate and select that. You will end up with duplicate activities on GC: the original one without HR and the new one with HR, so you'll need to delete the original.

    Thank you.

This seems to work except the watch restarts while downloading the data. I have reported it. Weird.
  • New piece of news. Works fine when I don't use a RunSwim activity and just do the two activities separately.
