Fenix 5X - 7.02 Beta Release

Hello Fenix 5X users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

7.02 Change Log Notes:

Improved the stability of CIQ watchfaces.
Fixed an issue where one couldn't create a course using saved locations on device.
Fixed an issue where certain courses downloaded through a CIQ application were failing to load on the map.

Please send all bug reports to [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Please note that the public beta's are intended for non-APAC devices only.

If I try to install:

Update failed.

What's with the 02b bump.... 7.0 gone live then? During a holiday weekend? :-)

I did 2 sessions of alpine ski using the dedicated 5x app.

everything was fine in recording but when the logfiles have been uploaded to Strava I could see all parameters of the session but no the vertical drop that was set in both cases to zero (!!?)

then through strava I could "calculate" the estimated vertical drop but the value calculated through Strava website was farily wrong compared to the vertical drop calculated by 5x.

This seems to be a recurrent bug for alpine ski session (no pbl. when I upload logfile of running and trial activities)

Any progress on zoomable elevation screen and "ascent to waypoint / destination" datafield?
Last time I heard - it was a mail on 13th July from the beta team, James from the Outdoor Quality Team wrote:

I know we are looking into the zoomable elevation.
Will also review your other suggestion with vertical destination.

As of 7.02b,

HRMSwim: blanks in Hydrobike as usual (none in swimming whatsoever). No problems with HRM connected notification. I almost hope it's a problem with my HRM because if it's an issue with the OHR/direct ANT+ jamming this is a critical issue.

Units -> Vertical Speed reset to Feet/hr (this issue has been there for 2 yrs already plus 1 almost, if we consider the F3 also had it. As far as I know it's the only setting that always reverts to default).
Climb --> recognized as Lap Swimming 25m (never happened before and wonder if there's a connection with what Carcentina just said).

Ok there's a lot of work to do but we're moving ahead steadily and that's good news. :-)
